Got my new key

I got my new key in today and it goes in the ignition but does not turn....ARGH!! is it because its frozen or the key cut is too new and needs those unsharp edges to work better.

I was told that the same key works for the fork lock but as you can see, IT DOESNT FIT! same with the tank, i almost bent the key on the tank

Teardown begins

Just started the teardown starting with the seat, then the rear fender, and then got carried away and took off as much as i could.. sorry if the pictures are bad, I was doing this in the middle of the night

Bike is in the garage

I cleaned out some space and got the bike up and my tools are beside the bike!

1971 Honda CL350

As all stories begin here is a background of what i know...

I bought this motorcycle from the local classified ads 10/22/11

it was bought with only a bill of sale, no keys and no title... previous owner said that he got it as a parts bike and never used any of the parts off of it except for the side covers. The odometer states that is has only 5751 miles on it. The condition of the bike shows that it was a sitting bike, but there is only minimal surface rust with mainly the bike being dirty form the previous use/sitting. I imagine if this bike was outside for 40 years that it would be a complete rust bucket so its plausable that the miles may be correct and I may luck out on this bike being worth the build.
