overnight soak in carb cleaner + after i rinsed with hot water, i sprayed and scrubbed with simple green before rinsing again and i think it turned out pretty good! i think i need to find a way to seal them with clear coat or just leave them be, but i don't want them to rust or corrode either..
Oh and i forgot to show pictures of my new bench i picked up for $35, im happy with it and it works for what I need, here's my setup
